PT MRT Jakarta Holds Public Discussion

We collect constructive responses and recommendations for the sake of improving service quality and comfort

The city-owned transportation company PT MRT Jakarta held a public discussion in a bid to absorb the information and recommendations from customers and agencies yesterday night, Wednesday (12/11).

On that occasion, PT MRT Jakarta Operation and Maintenance Director Muhammad Effendi said that his party always prioritized safety, security, timeliness, service and comfort in meeting operations with minimum service standards.

"We collect constructive responses and recommendations for the sake of improving service quality and comfort. These are important role in determining the success of a good and controlled railway system," he expressed.

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Syafrin Liputo stated that there are four things that must be seen from the planning, organizing, implementing and controlling stages in the management of public transportation, namely think effectively, efficiently, cost efficiency and sustainability.

Moreover, the Jakarta Provincial Government had changed the paradigm of building cities from car-oriented development to transit-oriented development with sidewalk revitalization steps, first and last mile access in the form of bike lanes, as well as improving the quality and quantity of public transportation.

"Seeing that, I believe more people will move to public transportation," he closed.
